PALMYRA - Book, James Edward, 63, passed away at his home on Wednesday, July 18, 2012. He was born in New Albany, IN on April 17, 1949, the son of Charles and Agnes Book. He was a farmer since 1976 and was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. He was a loving family man and avid farmer. He was survived by his wife, Carol; children, Michael (Leah), Melissa (Daryl) and Gary; grandchildren, Kiersten, Zach, Baylee, Tanner, Caden and Paisley; siblings, Thomas (Karen), Steven, Kenneth (Anna), Donald (Paula), Patrick (Cheryl), Marvin (Sandy), David (Susan) and Rose Book and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at St. Michaels Catholic Church, in Bradford, IN on Sunday, July 22, 2012, 3-7 p.m. and Monday, July 23, 2012, 1-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 10 a.m. with burial in St. Michael's Cemetery. Family suggests memorial gifts be made to Vistacare Hospice, and St. Michael's Church. Published in The Courier-Journal on July 20, 2012.
