Services were were conducted Monday, March 31, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Anderson Funeral Home, Gainesboro with Bro. Loren Crossman and Bro. James Paul Anderson officiating. Mr. Hamlet passed away March 29, 1980, suddenly at his home. Born June 14, 1925, in Jackson County to the late Jimmy Joe and Manerva Davidson Hamlet, he worked as a machinist at Teledyne Stillman in Cookeville and was a member of the Church of Christ at Center Grove and he also served as a deacon. Survivors include his wife, Minnie Flatt Hamlet of Cookeville; two sons, Roger Hamlet of Paoli, IN, and Carl Hamlet of Cookeville; four daughters, Mrs. Pamela Henry, Mrs. Patty Davis, Miss Susie Hamlet, and Miss Sandy Hamlet, all of Cookeville; a brother, Wilburn Hamlet of Rome Ives, MI; and one grandchild, James William Hamlet.
