Burial will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Cookeville. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of services today at the funeral home. Mrs. Hamlet died on Thursday, Aug. 2, 2001, at NHC Health Care of Cookeville. She was born on May 16, 1923, in Jackson County to the late Bert and Erlene Lacy Flatt. Mrs. Hamlet was a homemaker and former school teacher. She was a member of the Willow Avenue Church of Christ in Cookeville. She was married to John William Hamlet, who died on March 29, 1980. Her family includes two sons and daughtersinlaw, Roger and Sandy Hamlet of Manchester and Karl and Joanne Hamlet of Cookeville; four daughters and sonsinlaw, Pamela and Steven Henry, Patty and Gary Davis, Susie and J.C.
