Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Scott Avenue Free Will Baptist Church. Rev. Carson Whitaker and Rev. H. J. Tallent officiated. Burial was in the Algood Cemetery. Mrs. Franklin, widow of Byrd H. Franklin, is survived by two sons, Joe Franklin, Algood, Willie Franklin, Cookeville; four daughters, Mrs. Perry Bilyeu, Mrs. Verble Vickers, Mrs. Neal Frizzell, all of Cookeville; Mrs. Cecil Jackson, Akron, OH; 7 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren. Hooper and Huddleston Funeral Home in charge. Survivors included a nephew, Charles Jones of Indianapolis and the following nieces, Mrs. S. S. Jackson, New Smyrna Beach, FL, Mrs. O. E.
