True, an old citizen of Pike county died at the home of her son, Larkin M. True, in Denison, Texas, Thursday, April 16, at the age of 73 years, 2 months and 13 days. The remains were brought here Sunday morning and taken to the residence of her step-son, J. T. True, on North Third street, where they remained until 2 p.m., when they were conveyed to the First Methodist church where funeral services were conducted by Rev. T. J. Ferril of Bowling Green, and the interment took place in the city cemetery. The pallbearers were Clay Judy, Wm. Powers, Oscar Purgahn, H. Athey, F. Ord and Joseph Dyson. Deceased was a daughter of the late John L. Harris, of this county, and was born February 3, 1830. She was married to John M. True in 1863. The following relatives from a distance were in attendance at the funeral: John E. True and son, Ollie, of Kawanee, Ill; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Howell of Vine Hill Mo.; L. M. True and family of Denison, Texas; Willie Howell and wife of Grassy Creek; Thomas Johnson and son, Mrs. Thomas A. Johnson, Mrs. George Angle and children, Miss Delia Barnard, Bowling Green.
