Matthew W. Dowler, 46, of Torch, Ohio, passed away on July 7, 2010. He was born in Parkersburg, Feb. 3, 1964, the son of William and Phyllis Oiler Dowler of Coolville, Ohio. Matt was a member of the Painters Union Local, District Councel #53. He was a member of Life Gate Baptist Church and had attended Belpre Christian Academy. He enjoyed camping. In addition to his parents, William and Phyllis, Matt is survived by his three daughters, Kassandra Ranae Dowler of Parkersburg, Heather Rachelle Dowler of Barboursville, W.Va., Jennifer Faith Dowler of Marietta; two brothers, Charles E. Dowler and Linda of Marietta and Mark Dowler and Kathy of Coolville and several nieces and nephews. Matt was preceded in death by his infant sister, Jennifer Lynn Dowler; grandparents, Charles P. and Donna Sauyer Dowler and Wilma Dye Oiler. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Leavitt Funeral Home Belpre with Pastor Eric Ross officiating. Burial will be at Rockland Cemetery.
