(Research):John Poloha, 79, of West Chester, died June 28, 2008. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth "Betty" Poloha (nee Brooks), father of two sons, Dale S. and Dan S. Poloha; daughter, Debbie Sue Vest, seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. John was the brother of Vincent Poloha of Parma, Joe Poloha of Orlando, Fla., and Mary Greig of Leroy. He was preceded in death by his brother, Steve Poloha. Mr. Poloha was employed by the former Diamond Shamrock, and later by Occidental Chemical Corp. as office manager in Cincinnati. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953 during the Korean Conflict. Visitation will be held at Hodapp Funeral Home, 8815 Cincinnati-Columbus Road, (Route 42), West Chester, Wednesday, July 2, from 1 p.m. until the memorial service at 3 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. ©The News-Herald 2008
