Sylvania "Sylvanie" Allred married on 19 Jul 1840, Alfred Wood (buried at this cem.); for their children, *see the graveside of Alfred. ***************** Mrs Vanie Wood died at her home near Powell's Station, yesterday morning at 7 o'clock. Mrs Wood was an old and most estimable lady and leaves many friends to mourn her loss. She was an consistent member of the Baptist Church for many years and died in the proud consciousness of having made peace with her Savior. Funeral services today at 10 o'clock at the Wood's burying ground near Powell's. --Knoxville Daily Chronicle, Mon, 14 Sep 1885--
