(October 5, 1928 - February 19, 2015 ) Funeral services for Mrs. Rose Pinkston, age 86 of Cookeville, will be held Monday February 23 in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Rev. Ryan Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in Cookeville City Cemetery. Mrs. Pinkston’s family will receive friends Sunday and Monday until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Pinkston died Thursday evening February 19, 2015 in NHC of Cookeville. She was born October 5, 1928 in Putnam County, Tennessee to the late Robert Milton and Sara Brina Mayberry Loftis. She was a homemaker and attended Northeast Church of Christ and Zion Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Edward Pinkston; son, James Michael Pinkston; and step-father, George Leslie Howell. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and William “Bill” Bennett of Cookeville; three grandchildren, William Michael (Cryste) Bennett, Christy (Kent) Shepherd all of Cookeville; and William Clark (Heather) Pinkston of Nashville; six great grandchildren, Blake Richmond Shepherd, Jared Bennett Shepherd, Shelby Shea Bennett, Tucker Boone Bennett, Evan Pinkston and Sloan Pinkston. Pallbearers will be William Michael Bennett, George Hubert Bennett III, Kent Shepherd, Blake Shepherd, Grover Bennett Jr. and Jo Mac Bennett. Honorary Pallbearers will be William H. Bennett, Grover Bennett Sr., Rankin Bennett, Jason Bennett, Jay Loftis and Aaron Luther Bennett.
