Obituary, The Corydon Democrat, Corydon, Harrison County, Indiana Charles E. Uhl Charles E. Uhl, 93, Terre Haute, died Monday, Feb. 16, 2015, at 4:45 a.m. at Union Hospital after a brief illness. Born Jan. 11, 1922, in Harrison County, he was the son of the late Clement and Florence Jacobi Uhl. He was employed with Public Service Indiana (now Duke Energy) for 42 years and received many honors for his volunteerism, including the Indianapolis Star Jefferson Award. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, the former Imogene Humphrey, in November 2005. Survivors include four sisters, Mary Libs, Lorine Martin, Mary Ann McElroy and Sharon Newton; three children, Steve Uhl of Jasper, Mark Uhl of New Palestine and Jane Minderman of Vincennes; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Visitation: Thursday, Feb. 19, from 4 to 8 p.m., with a rosary service at 7:30, and Friday, Feb. 20, after 9 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Terre Haute. Mass of Christian Burial: Friday, Feb. 20, at 10 a.m. at the church with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Officiant: Father Rick Ginther. Arrangements: Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home in Terre Haute.
