Mrs. Florence Uhl, wife of Clement C. Uhl, passed away at her home in Bradford following a lingering illness, Monday morning, about six o'clock. About six months ago she was stricken with leukemia, a rare blood disease. Although everything known to medical science, blood transfusion, Krays, dieting and drugs were used, but to no avail. She sank slowly but was conscious until the last. Mrs. Uhl was thirty-four years of age. She was the daughter of the late Philip Jacobi and Mrs. Margaret Jacobi, and was born and reared in Morgan Township. She was a member of the Catholic Church, and a good Christian woman. She was united in marriage April 6, 1921, and to this union four children were born, Charles, Mary, Bernard and Lorena. Funeral services will be held this (Wednesday) morning at St. Michael's Church at Bradford, conducted by the Rev. John Gorman. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Besides her husband she leaves four small children, her mother, Mrs. Margaret Jacobi, six brothers and two sisters, Edward and Fred Jacobi, and Mrs. Charles Timperman, of Louisville. John Jacobi, of Navilleton, Herman, Andrew and Francis Jacobi, and Mrs. Anna Book, all of this county.
