Doyle Ray McClain, 74 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed from this life on Monday, May 13, 2019, at his home. Doyle was born Wednesday, November 15, 1944 in Celina, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Marvin C. and Melzona (Copeland) McClain. Doyle was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Doyle dedicated his life to law enforcement for 40 plus years. He retired from the Cookeville City Police Department as Lt. Detective and later worked as a court officer. He was loved by all that knew him and will be greatly missed. Doyle is survived by: Wife: Linda Fawbush McClain 2 Children: Danny and Shannon McClain Angie and Kenny Stout 5 Grandchildren: Kacie and Bryan Hicks, Mason Stout, Layton and Sami McClain, Parker Stout, and Kennidy McClain. 2 Great-Grandchildren: Liam Julian and Lakelynn Hicks 2 Sisters: Helen Jones Linda and Marion Rochelle Brother: Jack and Gale McClain Sister-In-Law: Faith McClain A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. In addition to his parents, Doyle was preceded in death by: Brother, Toby McClain and Brother-In-Law, Leroy Jones. Funeral Service for Doyle Ray McClain will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 1:00 pm from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with full military honors. Interment will follow in the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Masonic Service for Doyle Ray McClain will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 8:00 pm from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 from 11:00 am until time of service at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.
