COOKEVILLE - Funeral services for Toby McClain, 60, of Cookeville, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home in Cookeville. Burial will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery, with full military honors by the Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. today, Tuesday, May 13, at the funeral home. Mr. McClain passed away on Monday, May 12, 2014, in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born Monday, May 18, 1953, in Gainesboro to the late Marvin and Melzona (Copeland) McClain. Mr. McClain was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many. In addition, he was an awesome crappie and bass fisherman. Mr. McClain was a member of Rocky Point Baptist Church, a member of Cookeville Masonic Lodge 266, and a truck driver for Conway Freight of Cookeville for more than 23 years. He is survived by his devoted wife, Faith M. (Deal) McClain of Cookeville; two sons, Matthew Nelson McClain of Silver Point and Shawn Turner McClain and spouse Lori of Cookeville; three granddaughters, Mattie Jo, Anna Grace and Mallori McClain; a grandson, Coby Nelson McClain; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Linda and Marion Rochelle of Goodlettsville and Helen Jones of Cookeville; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Doyle and Linda McClain of Cookeville and Jack and Gale McClain of Cookeville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Vivian McClain, and a brother-in-law, Leroy Jones. Bro. Nolan Cantrell will officiate at the services.
