John Douglas Upton, Jr. Funeral services for Mr. John Douglas Upton, Jr., 62, of Cookeville, were conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 18, 2010 from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home, with Bro. Ricky Dixon officiating. Burial was in McClain Cemetery in Clay County on Baptist Ridge. Mr. Upton died Friday, July 16, at Livingston Regional Hospital. Born January 5, 1948 in Clay County, he was the son of the late John Douglas and Ozell (McClain) Upton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Upton. Survivors include 4 sisters, Vivian LaFever of Cookeville, Lisa Delaine of Alabama, Mary Caffee of Kentucky, and Bonnie Masters of Rickman. Pallbearers were Ronald Upton, Jeff Upton, Dave Caffee, Nicholas Caffee, Corey Hamm, and Chris Caffee. Special care provided by Hall Funeral Home.
