John G. Bowe John G. Bowe, 64, died at 10:30 p.m. Friday at his home on Rt. 1, Memphis, near St. Joe. He had been in ill health for 19 months. Bowe, a native of Clark County, had been an employee of the U.S. Steel Homes Division for 15 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Hill Catholic Church. Survivors include the widow, Dorothy Zimmerman Bowe; four sons, Daniel John Bowe, at home, Paul Arthur Bowe of New Albany, Jerome Bowe, with the U.S. Air Force at Topeka, Kan., and Bartholomew Bowe, Garden Grove, Calif; seven daughters, Miss Victoria Bowe at home, Mrs. Joan Hall, Mrs. Anita Cunningham, Mrs. Beatrice Becht, Mrs. Dorothy Beville, and Mrs. Louis Becht all of New Albany, and Mrs. Patricia Jacobs, Corydon, and Mrs. Ula Zoellers, Floyds Knobs; one brother, Herman Bowe, Sellersburg; three sisters, Sr. M. Mariana, CPPS, O'Fallon, Mont. And Mrs. Gertrude Meyer and Mrs. Anna Wheatley, both of Louisville, and 34 grandchildren. The body is at the Kraft Funeral Home where the rosary will be read at 4 p.m. Sunday. Services will be at 9 a.m. Monday from St. Joseph Hill Church with burial in the church cemetery.
