He was the son of the late William Albert Shamblin and Sarah Lyons Shamblin. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Dobbins Shamblin; sons, Darrell and Rocky Shamblin; brothers, Virgil, Perry, Delmar, Okey and Roscoe Shamblin; sisters, Ruby Jamison, Sylvia Isaacs, and Jessie Thompson. He was an Air Force Veteran. Junior was retired from Blue Creek Oil and Gas. He is survived by: sons, Herschel Shamblin, Michael Shamblin, and John Shamblin; sisters, Clarice Parsons and Shirley King; 17 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. A graveside service was held at 1 PM Sunday, May 21, 2023, at Walls Cemetery Reeds Fork Road Procious, WV with Minister Herschel Shamblin officiating.
