Psalm 91: He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust. Proverbs 31: She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. Mary was the daughter of the late Harry and Leona Gay Shamblin Dobbins. She was also preceded in death by her son, Darrell L Shamblin; brothers, William "Byrne," Ostel "Bub," Virgil, Dennie and Harry "Junior" Dobbins Jr; sisters, Wanda Dobbins, Myrtle Short and Marjorie Conaway. Survivors include her husband of fifty-four years, Junior; sons, Herschel (Sharon) of Mink Shoals, Rocky (Lisa), Michael (Barbara) of Procious, John (Ruby) of Glasgow, KY; brothers, Arthur "Doc" Dobbins, Paul Dobbins of Procious, and Don Dobbins of Montgomery; sisters, Alice Dobbins, Gloria Dobbins, Allie Childers, Dottie Orders, Leona Barnhouse of Procious and Frances Dobbins of Maysel; grandchildren, Joshua, Angela, Aaron, Justin, Christina, William, Nathan, Darrell Jr, Jeremy, Mary, Herschel, Michael, Grace, David, Elijah, Sarah, John Luke and Samuel; great grandchildren, Alden, Jacob, Harper and Isaac. She also loved her many nieces and nephews, especially, Rachel Mitchell. Thank you Rachel for the love and care you gave to Mary. Mary's graveside funeral service will be 11 am Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Walls Cemetery, Procious, with the Rev. Keith Monday officiating. Matics Funeral Home in Clendenin is serving the family.
