Henryville -- Alma Elizabeth McKean Kruer, 99, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2003. Funeral: 1 p.m. Friday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Visitation: 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Friday at R.D. Originally published in the Courier-Journal 12/24/2003 -------------------------------------- Alma Elizabeth Zimmerman McKean Kruer: Funeral services for Alma Elizabeth McKean Kruer, 99, of Henryville, were held at 1 p.m. today. Dec. 26 at St. Xavier Catholic Church in Henryville, with burial in St. Francis Cemetery. She died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003, at her home. She was formerly of Vincennes, was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and a retired UAW worker. Survivors include three sons, George McKean, Jeffersonville, Gordon McKean, North Vernon, and Larry McKean, Arlington, Tx.; three daughters, Sue Hayes, Lillian, Al., Betty Jo Banet, Henryville, and Zita Cox, Vincennes; two sisters, Irene Speth, Jeffersonville and Cecelia Shroeder, Sellersburg; 27 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. Visitation was held today at R.D. Pyke Funeral Home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Southern Indiana.
