Mrs. Catherine J. Zimmerman, 87, died at 6:45 a.m. Saturday at the St. Edward's Hospital in New Albany, after a short illness. She was the widow of George J. Zimmerman, Rt. 1 Floyds Knobs, and was a native of that community. Mrs. Zimmerman belonged to the St. Joseph Hill Catholic Church and was a member of the Altar Society. Survivors are two sons, Hubert P. Zimmerman, Henryville, Gervese Zimmerman, Indianapolis; six daughters, Miss Flora Zimmerman, Floyds Knobs, Mrs. Julia Bowe, Mrs. Irene Speth, Mrs. Mary Schroder, all of Floyds Knobs, Mrs. Dorothea Bowe, St. Joe, Ind., Mrs. Alma McKean, Vincennes; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Baumann, and Mrs. Elizabeth Banet, both of Floyds Knobs; 51 grandchildren, and 57 great-grandchildren. The body is at the Kraft Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at the St. Joseph Hill Catholic Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
