Mary C. Zimmerman Schroder 91; of Memphis newsroom@newsandtribune.com A funeral Mass for Mary C. Zimmerman Schroder, 91, of Memphis, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 19, at St. Joseph Hill Catholic Church, Sellersburg, with entombment in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. She died Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011. She was an active member of St. Joseph Hill Catholic Church, Sellersburg and involved in the Daughters of Isabella. She was a very talented cake decorator and also enjoyed quilting. She was born Oct. 13, 1919 in Floyds Knobs, to the late George J. and Catherine J. Renn Zimmerman. She is survived by her children, Bernard W. Schroder and his wife, Lynda, of Clarksville, James F. Schroder and his wife, Kelly, of Louisville, Angela R. Hayes and her husband, Tom, of Memphis, and Mark A. Schroder and his wife, Mary, of Memphis; 13 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard J. Schroder, daughter, Donna J. Schroder; son, Dale R. Schroder, and siblings, Bud Zimmerman, Irene Speth, Alma Kruer, Dorothy Bowe, Julia Bowe, Flora Zimmerman, and Hubert Zimmerman. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday, at Newcomer Funeral Home, New Albany. A prayer service will take place at 6 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Elizabeth's Home or Hosparus - the Hospice Community of Southern Indiana.
